A remarked presence at first Urban Cross Kortrijk

The first Urban Cross in Kortrijk was a huge success. It’s a daring formula: you rarely experience a cyclocross in the city centre. But it worked very well! Transuniverse Forwarding was one of the main partners of this new event. You couldn’t miss it.

The weather gods were good to us at the Urban Cross: it was not too cold for a November 30th, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. According to the connoisseurs, the track was absolutely fabulous. It had everything: mud, strips of sand, bridges and sharp bends. The spectators enjoyed the race from all angles.

The organizers are satisfied with the attendance. There were about 10,000 spectators, including a lot of guests from Transuniverse. For some of them this Urban Cross Kortrijk was a pleasant introduction to cyclocross.

Dutchman Matthieu Van der Poel won the competition. Second was Tim Merlier, third was Toon Aerts. The Dutch took all the podium places in the ladies competition: Lucinda Brand won ahead of Ceylin Alvarado and Annemarie Worst.
