Transuniverse Forwarding partner third edition CAPS Urban Cross Kortrijk

The cyclo-cross season has started. Kortrijk welcomed the top cyclists to the CAPS Urban Cross on 27 November. Transuniverse Forwarding is one of the partners of this cyclo-cross. A great opportunity to meet customers and safeguard visibility along the track.

The Urban Cross Kortrijk took place near the city centre at the Leieboorden. The first event two years ago attracted some 10,000 spectators. Last year, no spectators were allowed, due to coronavirus. This year, spectators were welcome again. However, because face masks and a covid safe ticket were compulsory, the crowds were smaller than in 2019.

This was not noticeable in the VIP tent, though. The Transuniverse management and sales team welcomed customers and relations in the cosy, nicely designed tent with a splendid view of the track. This year, too, our trailer and banners were clearly visible, also on Sporza.

Although the CAPS Urban Cross, part of the X²O Bathroom trophy, is a city cross, it does not lack the typical ingredients of a classic cross-country race: dirt and small hills alternated with fast grass sections. This year, the weather conditions were perfect for an exciting race: melting snow before the start caused the track to be soggy despite the dry weather.

The men’s race was won by Toon Aerts. He was in top form, going solo after one lap. Dutch world champion Lucinda Brand won the women’s race for the third consecutive time.
