Nitto rewards us for the third time in a row

Transuniverse Forwarding has been honoured for the third year in a row by the Japanese group Nitto for its performance in on-time delivery and customer service. Nitto has its largest production facility in the EMEA zone in Genk (Belgium). Transuniverse is one of its leading hauliers.

Nitto is a Japanese manufacturer of sealing materials, industrial adhesives and other specialty products. From its production site in Genk, it supplies the EMEA zone (Europe, Middle East, Africa). For several years now, Transuniverse Forwarding has been organising the transport to numerous countries. We pick up the goods in Genk and bring them to our cross-dock platform in Wondelgem (near Ghent) from where they leave for these different countries. There, local agents take care of the distribution to the final destination.

The entire chain is monitored by our ‘control tower’. This ensures streamlined, efficient and punctual operations. This monitoring is automated, but people intervene proactively when deviations occur in the chain.

Nitto appreciates the efficiency of this supply chain. As in 2017 and 2018, Transuniverse Forwarding received the Services & Logistics Award for this during Nitto’s ‘Innovation Experience’ event in London. Chairman Frank Adins (in the middle) received the trophy from Marleen Daenen and Marc Bielen, respectively Shipment Cost Controller and General Manager Supply Chain Management at Nitto Belgium.
