Transuniverse Forwarding again rewarded by Nitto

For the second consecutive year, Nitto EMEA has awarded Transuniverse Forwarding with an award in the ‘Services & Logistics’ category. The Japanese group recently handed over the trophy at the Nitto Centennial Innovation Days in London.

Nitto, the Japanese manufacturer of sealants, industrial adhesive tapes and other specialist products, has its largest production site in the EMEA region in Genk (Belgium). For several years now, Transuniverse Forwarding has been organising the transports to the various European countries, the Middle East and Africa. The company picks up the goods at the factory, takes them to the cross-dock platform in Wondelgem and dispatches them to the various countries, where local agents take care of the final distribution. This entire logistics chain is monitored by a Transuniverse control tower.

This control tower ensures that operations are streamlined, efficient and punctual. Monitoring is automated, but people proactively intervene when deviations in the chain occur. This efficiency is appreciated by Nitto: just as in 2017, Sam Strijckmans, president of Nitto EMEA, presented an award to Frank Adins, CEO and president of Transuniverse. He praised the exceptional performance in the field of ‘ontime’ deliveries and the speed of its customer service.
