Various certifications successfully completed

Transuniverse recently completed several audits related to quality, environment and safety. For example, the annual follow-up audits for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SQAS certificates were successfully completed. AEO status was also reaffirmed at the end of last year. Our subsidiary Welpa Trans also holds ISO 9001 certification.

ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management systems. This certificate assesses a company’s ability to meet customs requirements. ISO 9001 is also simplified as “say what you do, do what you say and prove”.

ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management. This standard describes how a company manages and, if possible, prevents environmental risks by process. The certificate is intended for companies that want to take their sustainability policy to the next level and continuously improve their environmental performance.

The Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS) is an audit of the European Organisation of the Chemical Industry (CEFIC) to ensure transport safety. It is used to assess logistics service providers in terms of quality, safety, health, environmental friendliness and social responsibility.

Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status is granted to companies that mee a number of criteria in the European Union Customs Code. They work closely with customs authorities to secure the international supply chain. Companies with AEO status are recognized as reliable and secured trading partners. They also enjoy better relations with customs and other government authorities.
