Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) – Zero Pellet Loss

At Transuniverse, we are actively committed to sustainability, environmental protection and responsible transport. Within this framework, we are officially registered with Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS), an international initiative aimed at preventing the loss of plastic pellets (granules) during handling, storage and transport.

Operation Clean Sweep® supports companies in avoiding pellet loss and thereby contributes to the protection of nature, waterways and ecosystems. Although pellets are small, their loss can have a significant environmental impact. For this reason, we consider prevention to be an essential responsibility within our logistics operations.

Our commitment

Through our registration with OCS, we commit to:

  • preventing pellet loss as much as possible through clear procedures and high housekeeping standards
  • immediately reporting and cleaning up any pellet loss incident
  • actively informing and raising awareness among our employees
  • systematically monitoring performance and striving for continuous improvement

Our clear objective (KPI) is:

Zero Pellet Loss

This objective is defined in line with the OCS pledge and the pellet loss hierarchy (prevent – detect – contain – clean-up) and forms an integral part of our management system.

Monitoring & continuous improvement

The OCS objectives and KPIs are monitored and evaluated at least annually during the management review, in accordance with SQAS requirements and our internal sustainability objectives.

We firmly believe that preventing pellet loss is a shared responsibility throughout the entire logistics chain. Therefore, we also encourage customers and partners to familiarise themselves with Operation Clean Sweep® and, where possible, to participate in this initiative themselves.

Together, we work towards zero pellet loss and maximum environmental protection.
