Job description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be part of the accounting team, focusing on the accurate processing of supplier accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for processing incoming invoices and self-billing files, as well as optimizing processes within a structured, international team. You will be given significant responsibility and will work independently in a professional environment.
Your responsibilities
- You check incoming invoices and forward them to the correct department.
- You post service invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and cost centers.
- You process expense reports and book them correctly.
- You are responsible for following up on outstanding supplier accounts.
- You assist with posting bank statements.
- You assist with preparing payment runs.
- You support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks.
Competencies & skills
- You hold a degree in accounting.
- You have experience in a similar role.
- You are strong with numbers, analytical, accurate, and results-oriented.
- Punctuality and the ability to prioritize are among your strengths.
- Deadlines are not a problem for you.
- You have strong communication skills, ensuring smooth contact with clients and suppliers.
- You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and French; knowledge of English is a plus.
