Transuniverse Forwarding has acquired the main activities of Ziegler Belgium. With this strategic acquisition, we strengthen our position as a leading independent logistics player in Belgium. This allows us to expand not only our transport and logistics activities, but also our services in customs, maritime forwarding, and specialised logistics solutions.
.

The acquisition includes Ziegler Belgium’s operations in Aalst, Antwerp, Brussels Expo, Kontich, Rekkem, Welkenraedt, and Zeebrugge. In addition, Transuniverse is taking over a significant number of employees, ensuring that valuable expertise, know-how, and customer relationships are preserved.
Strong growth in turnover and logistics capacity
Thanks to this transaction, the consolidated group turnover of Transuniverse increases from approximately €100 million to over €135 million.
The group’s logistics capacity also grows significantly. After integration, Transuniverse will have more than 75,000 m² of warehouse and logistics space across several strategic locations in Belgium. The vehicle fleet will also be substantially expanded.
A major step forward in customs
”This acquisition represents an important step in the further development of our group,” says Frank Adins, Chairman of Transuniverse Forwarding. ”By integrating additional customs specialists, offices, and operational expertise, Transuniverse is becoming one of the strongest independent customs players in Belgium.”
”International trade is becoming increasingly complex. Customers need reliable partners who can guide them through import, export, transit, excise, and all other customs formalities. Thanks to this acquisition, we now have an exceptionally strong customs organisation that will support our clients even better in Belgium and far beyond.”
”Our maritime forwarding activities are also taking a significant step forward. In addition, we can now offer a new service, namely exhibition logistics,” adds Frank Adins.
Important synergies
The combination of Transuniverse’s existing activities with those acquired from Ziegler creates important synergies in transport, logistics, warehousing, distribution, supply chain management, and of course customs.
”Clients will benefit from an even broader service offering, a larger geographical coverage, additional storage capacity, and enhanced operational strength,” states Frank Adins.
Investing in people and growth
This acquisition represents a major investment in the future of Transuniverse.
”We strongly believe in the combination of entrepreneurship, local anchoring, and specialised logistics expertise. With this operation, we are not only welcoming new activities but also many experienced employees who will help build the continued success of our group,” concludes Frank Adins.
