Transuniverse has recently put 17 new forklifts into operation, thereby renewing its entire fleet. Due to the intensive use during crossdock operations, the previous machines were at risk of exceeding their operational limits.
The 17 new Linde models were delivered by Vandendorpe Handling Equipment. The Linde distributor from Oudenaarde once again emerged as the best choice in the selection process.
“These are electric forklifts with a capacity of 2 tonnes. They are used intensively — up to 18 hours a day — which is why we again opted for exchangeable batteries. This allows us to minimise downtime,” says Warehouse Manager Christophe Malfait.
Next summer, three additional forklifts will be added, with a capacity of 3 tonnes. These multifunctional machines have forks that can be replaced by a pin, enabling them to transport both heavy loads and carpet rolls.
