After ten years of loyal service at Transuniverse Forwarding and an impressive 37-year career in the transport sector, Operations Director Jo Vormezeele bid farewell to the company at the end of April. His successor is Lodewijk De Meulemeester.
Jo joined Transuniverse to optimize planning for Spain and Portugal, but thanks to his leadership talent and human approach, he rose to become Operations Director and a member of the Executive Committee. He was the driving force behind all operational departments, from the Import and Export teams to Customer Service, Customs, and Benelux. “Jo was the glue between departments, a true people manager who connected colleagues,” emphasizes HR Manager Ellen De Cock.
His departure was celebrated with kind words and a festive gathering with colleagues and executives. Director Frank Adins praised his contributions in a heartfelt speech, to which Jo responded with gratitude for the team and the company. As a finishing touch, Jo and his partner were invited for a cozy dinner with other managers and close colleagues.
The torch is now passed to Lodewijk De Meulemeester, a seasoned professional with twenty years of experience in transport and logistics, both nationally and internationally.
