Marc Nijssen has held the top-level responsibility for the commercial development of Transuniverse Forwarding since July. He will thus play an important role in our ambition to double our turnover, from 58 million euros in 2017 to around 100 million within four to five years.
To achieve this, Marc will further refine our commercial vision and strategy and put the adapted structures in place. His team currently consists of six people.
Over his career, Marc has held commercial positions with Westerlund (now Euroports), Van den Broeck Transport and Katoen Natie. He was also general manager of the Antwerp logistics company Van Wellen Storage. After this company was taken over in the year 2000 by the Dutch Vopak group, he ensured a smooth transition. In the last ten years, Marc has concentrated on interim management, supporting reorganisation projects and the establishment of new commercial structures at firms including XPO Logistics, Talke an Gilleman Logistics.
Marc now wants to return to a longer-term focus. “Transuniverse’s plans to grow sustainably attract me. It’s a nice challenge take an active part in these plans,” he says.
